First EXATEC Japan solidarity project successfully concludes

As a result of the sanitary emergency that Mexico experienced from the Swine Influenza virus epidemic, the Social and Community Support Committee of EXATEC Japan launched a project to send masks to Mexico. Japanese people have an deeply-rooted culture of using masks due primarily to cedar pollen allergy which occurs in February to April all over the country, on top of using them when they catch cold.

Thanks to the donations given by members of EXATEC Japan and the contribution in goods which its members collected at their working places and the neighborhood for 2 weeks, on May 14 we could send 5 boxes of medical masks that contained a total of 2172 pieces.  Within the donations there were 300 pieces of specialized product for medical use of high filtration quality called N95. The masks were delivered to three private institutions of social assistance in Mexico City: Centro de Acompañamiento y Desarrollo Integral CARDI IAP, Casa de la Amistad AC and Hospital Escandón. The Fundación para la Promoción del Altruismo helped EXATEC Japón in the selection, distribution and delivery of the donations to these institutions that are notorious for their noble social works.

We EXATEC Japón are grateful for the solidarity shown by the Japanese community (particularly Deloitte TokyoHippo Family Club and Waseda University), and the support that we received from Mexico in this project in which we tried to correspond to our obligations which we maintain  with our country as Mexicans and members of the ITESM community.
